About The Sinspirations

I often wonder how I found myself here but then I remember…. maybe it’s best not to and just see if I can find my way out of this ratchet mess.

Look; I have much respect for every single one of us who goes through great lengths to create a dating profile. Y’all that shit is exhausting.

For starters, we have the prompts, and some apps ask us to put more than 3 photos of ourselves.

Holy fuuu… Do I even have 3 good photos of me? And I mean the type of photos where it’s just me. I can’t post a photo with someone else because, though it’s only happened once, someone swiped on my profile because they recognized my sister-in-law. The message said, “Aye tell Tiffany I said what’s up!!”

Not only that but the app literally says, “oh if you want your profile to get noticed, you need to post more about you.”

Okay, no. The whole point is to be a little mysterious and then they swipe and the questions follow.

No one needs to know right away what my teachers thought of me as a child or what my most irrational fear is. (It’s clowns by the way)

It’s as if we are under scrutiny or an online dating show.

Up next we have Kyle from Massachusetts and ladies; Kyle is 32 and an engineer, only drinks occasionally. He loves his rescue dog whom he calls Rascal. Kyle is looking for something serious but that’s just code for some bang for the buck.

…AKA he’ll wine you, dine you, and then fine that sweet ass of yours.

And here Kyle is talking to more than just you, but nevertheless, Kyle isn’t the only one who we’re talking to.

It’s rough out there.

But we’re all trying. Some of us may actually be looking for love or just looking for a sweet lay from Monica, or from Kyle.

Nevertheless, I continue to move forward and begin the search of getting that second date.

In the famous words of Aaliyah… “If at first, you don’t succeed, you can dust yourself off and try again”
